Tea Time
Thank you for visiting Rx Tea Time online. For ten years in Cheyenne, Wyoming, we welcomed guests to a Victorian-style tea room that earned notice in Travel Magazine, where careful tea service, pretty china, and unhurried conversation came first. Our last service was April 1, 2025, and we have retired with deep gratitude. This site still shares our tea list, etiquette notes, and special-event memories for anyone who loves afternoon tea. We remain thankful for every reservation, celebration, and quiet pot of tea shared with family and friends.
"Just what your Physician ordered".

In the early 19th century, Anna, seventh Duchess of Bedford, described what she called "having that sinking feeling" during the late afternoon. Her prescription was a pot of tea and a light snack taken privately in her boudoir. Friends later joined her in the parlour and the garden. That pause for tea is the same rhythm we tried to honor in Cheyenne.
What you can still explore
If you are planning a tea party at home or coaching younger guests on cups and saucers, our Tea Time Etiquette and Teas pages still hold practical tips from how we ran service downtown.
Healthy blends, classic black teas, and caffeine-free herbals each had a place on our menu next to scones, fruit spreads, and Devonshire-style cream when we were open. Recreating that balance at home starts with a fresh pot, a timer for steeping, and a few minutes to enjoy the first pour without rushing the second cup.
For water temperature, leaf amounts, and steep times in your own kitchen, follow our brewing loose tea at home guide. The Home item in the menu above always returns you to this welcome page.
Special-occasion photos, afternoon tea customs, and the small touches that made each table feel personal mattered to us through every season. We hope those details stay useful even though new reservations are no longer available. For questions about past events or the Pay It Forward effort, please use the contact details in the page footer. We read messages when we can and appreciate kind notes from longtime visitors.
